DIFFERENT EVERY NIGHT

DIFFERENT EVERY NIGHT

I live in a small town, Cittanova, just right at the feet of the Aspromonte mountain range, South of Italy. Luckily my house is in the outskirts, the last street before starting climbing up the mountains. Every evening I have the chance to watch outside my kitchen windows and see beautiful sunsets over the Tyrrenian sea, the Eolie Islands and overall the Stromboli Volcano.

A couple of months ago I decided to take a shot, when the weather conditions were right, at these beautiful vistas that everybody can see, but not all can appreciate.

Usually I take them from the kitchen’s balcony,

but sometimes , whenever I can, I go and pay a visit to some friends who own a pub/ranch in a lovely chestnut grove behind my house,  a little bit higher then, where the vista is definitely better without any house or building in front.

The nice thing about this vista is that I can see quite a lot, and include on the image a few subjects, like our hometown main churches, Chiesa Matrice and Chiesa del Rosario, the famous port of Gioia Tauro, the sicilian coast and of course the Stromboli.

The coulors are always different, they go from a deep orange to a very pale yellow, from red to blue and magenta… breathtaking!! Of course the clouds do their part, but even in a clear sky the vista is amazing.

Hope you enjoyed 🙂
